anyone else notice their exhaust wobble to and fro? thgats those crappy rubbere hangers, their crap.

Why do they have em? why would they make the exhaust so flimzy and wobbley?

I remember setting my first exhaust up (an old 79 Buick) that I went through hangers like mad. I'd bolt the system up tight and the hanger would just snap in the middle after a month or two. Granted, it wasn't iron rod or anything but the hangers were decent quality.

I really think that the reason the rubber hangers are there is to dampen the vibration generated by the exhaust system. I've personally never had problems with them but if you like your setup there is nothing wrong with that.

Rubber doesn't rattle... my guess is the rigid setup now prevents something else that was loose from rattling. Just my guess.

the only rattle that i had besides my cat, was the muffler hitting that heat shield under my gas tank.

I had a nasty rattle after installing the Flowmaster Cat-Back...had it all welded up, & even got a new (Factory...hey, it was FREE!) Catalytic Conv. But the prob. was, there were like....uh...2-3 bolts that had broken, on one O' the exhaust manifolds, hence the nasty-chassis-smackin'-vibrations. Might wanna' check yours, as it seems that's fairly common.
