  • Ready to buy FTRA - Question

All set to buy my FTRA, I seached the web and the cheapest place I could find a new one was the site below.. I just had one concern, under the FTRA for $154.95 is something saying "updated ram air plate to retrofit old."

    http://www.stealthperf.com/cgi-bin/s...st%20Toys.html

What is that? Is that why their kit is so cheap, because I need to buy both?

    Thanks!
    -Luke

I'm looking at that right now and it looks like that kit is needed for like pre 98 V6 models. I think. Everything in the picture for the "ipdated kit" looks like everything I got in my kit. I bought mine from LM performance and you found it cheaper. I payed like 169.95 or something.

no you dont have to buy both. you can just get the $154.95 thing. that is what i have. the other part is an upgrade to the origional kit but i dont thik it makes much of a diference. the upgrade just has the small bent up areas on the ram plate. it is spose to force a little more air in.

You need to cut some stuff, and trying to slide it down near the Ac condesor coil is a *****. ALOT easier with 2 set of hands.

Yea I have some friends that will hopefully help me out, god knows Ive helped them work on their cars enough. So what needs to be cut to install this thing, splash guard? anything else?
