• Anybody have luck with JCWhitney?

Has anybody been able to get the 3.8L ceramic coated headers from JCWhitney?

I've read all the bad posts but mine have been on order for a while.

Should I cancel my order or just wait to see what happens?

I would suggest waiting it out. It is not JC Whitney's fault here. Pacesetter is responsible for the delay. We are in the same boat as JC Whitney at this point. Many of our customers have Pacesetter headers on order and some have been waiting for three months. I had an E-mail from Pacesetter on Thursday that two more sets have shipped to our customers so they are definitely working on it.

My advice is to just be patient if you can. Again, it's not JC Whitney's fault.

Man, I don't know about it not being all JC Whitney's fault.

First off, they have the wrong part # for the headers. (You will probably get some headers for a '78 Buick).

I called last week and the part # is still incorrect on the website.

I can assure you one thing, JC Whitney has terrible customer service. They also seem to send the wrong thing to people quite often.

There is nothing that I have heard good about JC Whitney.

I cannot comment about JCWhitney's customer service because I have never bought anything from them. I am saying though that Pacesetter is VERY slow on production of high demand headers.

Did you order the headers off of JCW's website? Like you went through and selected your year, make and model? If you did that, you will get the wrong headers sent to you.

You can blame Pacesetter for the slow slow delivery, but you can blame JCW for sending you the wrong part.

            Viper,

How many set of the black painted headers do you have left?

I just sold my last set on Monday. I called Pacesetter today and they have 58 sets of painted 3.8L V6 headers in stock. I am trying to work with Jet-Hot to get a package deal on getting some painted headers coated with their coating. The wait time will be a lot shorter but the price will be a little higher. How many people would be interested in this deal?

Okay, I spoke with the guys at Jet-Hot and the total shipped for a set of Pacesetter headers with a Jet-Hot coating is $406.00 for the 3.8L V6 and you're looking at about 3 weeks for delivery.

This ends up being about $80 more than the coated ones from Pacesetter, but the Jet-Hot coating is a lot better and the wait time is A LOT shorter.

If anyone is interested, please send me an E-mail.
