I was looking around on eBay and i found an auction for a carsound cat convertor and i was wondering if anyone has it and if so does it make the exhaust sound alot better and are they'reany hp gains?
Yup, I've heard of a carsound cat, and it's a really good choice of a cat at that. Most of these guys on here only live and breathe catco but here's how the numbers stack up.
Random Tech #616806 434 cfm
Car Sound #93009 428 cfm
Car Sound #94009 417 cfm
Walker #15147 391 cfm
Random Tech #616549 355 cfm
Stock LS1 304 cfm
MAC LS1 293 cfm
so it's depending on the model of car sound's cat your getting but they are still not too far off from each other and are over 400cfms. Catco rates i think 350cfm and they are really cheap. To make a relation, I think our stock cats are rated around 250cfm. As far as it sounds. No cat of course sounds best, so more flow will obviously sound better. You might as well do it right the first time and get a good cat, otherwise you'll be doing it a 2nd or 3rd time.
Go with the carsound
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
