  • Quality of pacesetters??

How is the quality of the new 3.8 pacesetter headers, and also, where is the cheapest place to get a set? Also, how do they sound?

I'm not sure where to the cheapest place to get them from is, or how well they will sound, but as far as quality goes, i think they are a lot better than the rksport headers.

Shhhhh don't tell anybody but AMMPerformance has the cheapest going around.

$165 for painted, and $250 for the ceramic. I'd go with the ceramic if I were you though.

JC whitney has them for 240 coated, but they charge 10$ shipping, instead of 40$.

Those are a hell-of-deal. Is it worth the extra money to get the ceramic coated set, or, I was thinking about only spending the 165 and then having them powdercoated. Has anyone powdercoated these before?

Most powdercoats won't handle that high of temp I don't think. I would/did get the ceramic coated though.

I think he means that the website says they're for camaro's only when camaro's and firebird's are basically the same (interchangable parts)

do any of these deals include the aftermarket ypipe? is this pipe necessary? if not, do you see any gains from the ypipe. i know the ebay deal includes the ypipe.

It's gotta include the y pipe because the headers have special flanges for the new y pipe that the stock one doesn't have.
