custom cold air intake

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to make a cold air intake for a 3.8L F-Body.I am attempting to make my own.Any info would be helpful

It's been done. Mine recently came apart and blocked the intake... almost making me late to work. Use rigid tubing if you can. Dryer hose works, but it can get ripped and cause problems.

I toyed around with a lot of different ways. The best way I found so far, is using a '90 Degree 3inch Rubber elbow, I got mine from Lowes. Then use another 3inch pipe, that can be borrowed from anything. I borrowed a nice one from a honda accord intake and trimmed it to fit mine, and then I use a cone filter on the end. If your worried about completely routing it to the bottom it wouldn't be too hard I don't see. Good luck, if you need any ideas or some pics of mine i'll send em over.

There's one more thing I forgot to mention.Did either of you replace the sensor from the original air duct into the new intake?Thanks for replying to the original question you guys.
