• 3" to 2.75 reducer? Where to buy?

I need an adapter... 3inch to 2.75... If I cant get one, I am sure this guy can probably weld my muffler on for me and just put a big *** weld on it. I would rather have the adapter though. Thanks.

Autozone has some adapters, the one I went to the other day didn't have any 3", but inventory is gonna be different at each place I'm guessing. Otherwise, an exhaust shop probably has one they could sell you. Shop around though, they'll probably charge a ridiculous markup and you shouldn't be paying more than $2-$3 for it. I think the autozone ones I bought were $1.29.

I checked out Napa before and there was a 3 to 3. what the hell was the point of that? It wasnt like 3 ID and 3 OD... it was the same on both ends. LOL

I checked online and nothing found yet because I only have a Pep boys and advanced auto parts around me... most places dont go as big as 3 either.

To connect a 3 inch pipe to a 3 inch pipe, like, say, a 3" S pipe to your new catback?

i can tell ya for a fact that moste autozones stock nothing for 2.75" pipe... we dont even stock clamps for that (unless other stores that are bigger do, but i work at an above average sized store) i wouldnt just weld it in, id see if you can get a custom one made at an exhaust shop. shouldnt take them more than 5 mins. If you can find one, you might be able to use a 3id to a 2.5 id, then slip the 2.5 id inside the 2.75.. it'll be close if you cant find anything else, but then you'd def. have to weld it. good luck

Places around here always tell me they dont go as big as 3... like monroe muffler. This garage near me doesnt even want to touch my exhaust. I am running out of options unless i get really desperate and go out of state. I live in the sticks. LOL

most auto part stores will not have what your looking for. stock exhaust just isnt that big. you can buy exactly what your looking for from www.summitracing.com I hate looking through their website, as it can be hard to find what you need. Give them a call though. If its made, they will have it.

yeah, summits' site sucks... order their catalog and flip through it. without the catalog, you'll be lost on their site. I dunno why exhaust shops wouldnt make that for you though.. hell, all you need is a piece of 2.75" and put it in the expander to take it to 3".. its a bit of a stretch but shoudl be ok if they know what they are doing...

Yeah summits' site does suck. I found this on their site though.

Exhaust Pipe Reducer Inlet Size (in): 3.00
Exhaust Pipe Reducer Outlet Size (in): 2.50 That one is Inner Diameter... and they have the same thing which is an Outer Diameter...

So do I want an inner or outer diameter?

I thought of getting something to stretch it but there is a thick weld on it where someone had it on their stock V6. I thought the weld was thick enough to clamp a 3 inch clamp on it but I was wrong. LOL

I dont know why people dont want to touch my exhaust. Maybe they dont think I know what i am doing cause I am a girl?

I had about 4 shops tell me that my 3" exhaust wouldn't fit, and 2 others tell me it'd be over $200 to bolt it up, so I had to do it myself. Saved quite a bit of money that way too

Yeah I just have to get some balls and go over to my neighbors. I feel so guilty asking them to help me with my exhaust (cause they work on cars and have equipment).
