catco, or carsound cat??

I've just recieved my Flowmaster Amer. Thunder catback, and before install I would like to pick up a hi-flo cat to go with it. It's for a 2002 Firebird, 3.8. Does it really matter which one? I do have to comply with emmissions, too. Paul

I believe Catco is cheaper will give you about the same gains and is carb legal.

i think carsound is better. I seem to remember people sating the catco's fail after a few thousand miles. but I could be wrong.

i have heard bad things about catco falling apart inside after a couple thousand miles. Carsound I have heard good things from

I've heard alot of people talk about hearing about catcos falling apart, but you hardly ever actually see it happen. I've had mine for 3 years. The only problem I had was that the heat shield started rattling a few months ago. Ripped that off and everything's great again.
