I took my car into the exhaust shop this morning, and the guy told me that the pacesetter headers i had arent smog legal for california. OMG i was so mad, cuz i thought they were...Did anyone else think they were smog legal or am i just an idiot?

I don't see how headers have anything to do with being smog legal... makes no sense to me.

Goto a few other exhaust shops. I'm not expert on laws in california, but there are a lot of shops that are stifflers for that crap. I mean one shop told me my car wouldn't pass emissions if I didn't use the flanges to bolt up my cat??? Don't ask me!!!Comment

The Pacesetter headers do not have a hookup for the SMOG (A.I.R.) Pump. This would most likely keep them from being legal. i was told that my car didnt even come with the A.I.R hookups, so i wouldnt need to worry about it, but who knows... But if anyone wants to buy the headers off me, let me know. I'll take the highest bidder. They only thing they wont come with is gaskets so youll have to buy some on your own.
