  • New air box

I bought the SS style hood for my 2001 Camaro. I ordered the functional air box kit. There are two holes in the back of the air box. One is for the air temp sensor. I have no idea why the other hole is there. It had a plastic cap over it, but it fell off and I lost it. Does this small hole in the back of the air box affect performance or anything?

not performance, it is maybe another spot to put the temp sensor.

you want to cover that up because air going through there is bypassing the filter, and allowing grime to get into the engine. Not a good thing.

    Later.
