I have a 1995 3.4 liter firebird and i was wondering if 3" exhaust would be too much, i heard that 3" is good for v8, and 2.5 is better for v6 firebirds.

Go 3". I drive mine daily, and three is fine by me. But you will hear a different opinion from every member. In very general terms, 2.75 or 3 is accepted though. James is just odd, so don't listen to his 2.5" nonsense.

I'm thinking about getting 3" and my car is a daily car. Whats the pros and cons about getting a 3" exhaust on a daily driver?

see I can't back that up but I have just heard from people that 2.5" is better for everyday driving. They say you feel the 3" more on the top end, but what difference does it make if you're not racing?1996 Camaro RS Bright Red
3.8L V6 A4 3.42\'s
K&N Filtercharger
Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler
Y87 Performance Package

I'm very happy with 3" for every day driving. Plus it works great when you're racing. :D

tru.. but if your not racing..why even modify your exhaust.. and just get the muffler?
if people are going to upgrade.. why upgrade just .25 inches from stock?
you might as well spend the SAME EXACT amount of money, and go with 3 inch. thats just my 2 cents tho96 Camaro M5. well this dude has a 3.4. thats like us 3.8's going to a 3.5". it should be fine. you'll gain everything in the top end. for a 3.4, i'd probably go with a 2.75\'96 Quasar Blue Firebird A4
jamiethekiller@comcast.net
my band: woodland
