cold air intakes on ebay

I almost bought one last summer, but I looked closer at the pics and noticed that I could build one just like them from parts at Lowes or Home Depot...so I did.
Anyways, all of them kits only change the air filter, NOT the airflow going into the TB. The stock unit makes the airflow take a harsh 90-degree turn just before it enters the throttle body (without proper flow), and that isn't good. I custom-made a 90-degree smooth flowing pvc pipe and bent the rest of the pvc to make it fit to the filter. I basically melted and bent the pvc with a torch to make it fit, then painted it. Took a bit of ingenuity, but I'm happy with the results. Have to go to the gym right now then to work, but I'll snap a photo of it and post it tomorrow.sigpic

I purchased a kit off ebay for about $70. It came with an elbow that connected to the filter, and it came with the K&N Hi-Flow filter, and i toulw say it was worth it. The only thing it didnt come with was anything to connect from the elbow to the TB. But like HockeyMan said you could just probably use pvc pipe, and I might do that to connect to the TB. But anyways, I would make sure that if you do get one off ebay make sure you get an elbow, because you can get the filters anywhere.97 Camaro

K&N Hi-Flow CAI, Xlerator into Dual
http://www.cardomain.com/id/camaaro
