mangaflow/carsound for the cat and the only thing you need to look for with the whole s-pipe thing is what motor its made for. If it says lt1 or v6 you're fine, if it says ls1 you'll need the s-pipe which you can get from slp and ftpp.net

99+ v6 catbacks do not come with s pipe because the s pipe is welded to the cat at the factory. I am not sure about earlier v6 catback.

          For full 3" system:
Magnaflow LT1 v8 '94-97 #15620 (includes 3" pipe, all clamps (all stainless steel) muffler, tailpipes. You will need to save your old pin/hook style tail pipe hangers or have new ones made (easy) or just use universal hangers and mount them in the chassis bolt holes of your current chassis mounted tail pipe hangers. (save those bolts...you will see what I mean...no big deal)

You will need a new 3x3 cat. I suggest getting a cat that has a rear 02 sensor boss...or else you will have to have an 02 sensor boss welded in to the new s pipe.

you can easily fab a horizontal S pipe hanger using the original rubber mount and a u-bolt and stom metal strapping.

Read all about it in my install guide for the magnaflow 15620 3" conversion.
          http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/M...20-install.htm

For a bunch of general 3.8L fobody exhaust info check this out:
          http://home.comcast.net/~grayman99/exhaust-overview.htm

you can do it all yourself in one afternoon. A sawzall makes the two major cuts in the old system VERY EASY...but you could do it with a hack saw.

You can use the supplied clamps to get the sytem all installed and adjusted (no rubbing, ro vibrations, etc.) and then stop by a muffler shop to have it all welded for a very low cost.

Besides the clamps that come with the 15620 kit you will need 2 3" ubolts for the new CAT. I suggest 'heavy duty' u bults if you do not plan on having system welded as they can be torqued much tighter without spreading.

          Good Luck. G

Oh yea...take a peek under the car...check if you have an air tube on your stock cas...if so...remeber to get a cat with an air tube.

I got an SES code when I upgraded to the full 3" system. Not everybody does. You can use a SIM or edit PCM with software tuner.
