  • Y-pipe question

My Y-pipe is shot. It's been rattling for over a year. The dealership wants an arm and a leg(there's a shocker). I found some large-diameter aftermarket Y-pipes on SLPs website for the V-8, but none for the 6, I assume they're different. They're expensive, but I like the whole large-diameter idea. Does somebody make something like this for my car?

How much was the dealer askign for the y-pipe? As far as I know, nobody makes a high flow y-pipe for the V6's except for the pipe that you would get if you got headers. I can get the y-pipe from the dealer for $174 so if you are interested, let me know.

My local dealer quoted me $350 installed. I didn't ask about the part price. It's probably pretty close to that $174. I'm not a huge header fan, so I'll probably just get that stock part. Too bad we can't get high-flow for a manifold. I wonder if an exhaust shop can handle a job like that for around that price.
