Just picked upTri-Flos and installed it on my driveway,.,.

I just installed mine today...took about 1.5 hours. Man, was it a pain in the butt to take out the old stock system!! Had to cut it in half, where the I-pipe meets the axle pipe. Took a while to align the tips and muffler.

Sometimes it sways and hits the well where the spare tire resides,.,.,anyone elses like this?? It's got like 3-times the sway of the stock. Is the axle pipe in the wrong angle?? If I twist the I-pipe, won't that effect whether it rest more to the left or to the right??

Oh, and it sounds like a louder version of the stock system. It was kinda annoying on the freeway...guess I got used to the quietness of the stock system <shrug>. But on the streets, it was kewl and I revved it more than usual....You can definitely feel the power increase. Freer revving and gets peoples attention!!

FYI

For future reference to everyone:

Don't get a 98+ exhaust, get a 96-97 and replace the I-pipe and tailpipe hanger with the 96-97 style. The 96-97 is much more rigid than the "rubber" band 98+ hanger. I get no "swaying".

Easy fix for the swaying. Go up to home depot and get some dryer clamps, they look like a bigger version of radiator hose clamps. Tightned them down around the rubber clamps, it will hold them tight and will not sway. It's an old trick and what I did with mine on my 2000 bird. Good luck

I have this same problem...I'm gonna try the dryer clamps.....do the drivers side tips hang a tad bit lower than the passenger side for you?

When i installed my b&b one side was a bit lower than the other. to sove this i "adjusted" one of the exaust hangers to make them even.

As a matter of fact,,,,YES...I think I can fix that by tightening it when I push the driver's side up, or tightening the pass. side when I pull it down a bit....and then I have to angle the muffler a tad higher to get rid of the "saggy" look I got going on(maybe an inch or so from the GFX).

Oh, and I'll try the clamp thing...thx...
