ok, I have a light "metallic" rattling sound coming from around the passenger side rear fender, but it only occurs under hard acceleration, and always happens within a certain rpm range. When the rpms get past that point and the car shifts into OD, it stops completely. Any ideas?

Sounds like a heat shield could be coming loose or some of the exhaust plumbing is vibrating against part of the body or suspension.

same thing happend to me right before mine went. you want to go ahead and hollow it out or get a new one before it goes cause it sucks once it finally dies (you cant get up over 30 and it takes forever to get that fast).

Chances are, you have the same problem I do. Your muffler is rubbing your gas tanks heat shield. Easy fix is to just grab some exhaust rubber hangers and jam them between the muffler and heat shield.
