Whoa man, relax. Yes SOME people are getting at it, but it's nothing THAT bad.

And practicaly every Cat-Back for our cars sound not-so-good up top. :( I am probably going to have a system fabricated for my car. It will have Headers, HF Cat, Resonator and Single In/Out Straight-Thru Muffler. I will see how that sounds and post it.

A Resonator will help Resonate & Deepen the Tone in the Upper RPM's I remember reading a post on how someone added a resonator on their Flowmaster, and it ended up sounding better up top. Flowmaster released a AT Cat-Back for our cars that includes a Resonator. Maybe yopu should look into that.

Sorry for the long post! Just had to do it!

yea i had the american thunder catback..

but when i was rearended... it destroyed my I pipe..which has the resonator on it...

so now i consider it just an 80 series muffler..and it still sounds awesome up top..

damn tyler, calm down there son. youre getting offended so easily but yet saying you dont care. i fail to see where this "newb" has stepped out of line. what does that say for this board and the entire v6 community when you say that this "newbie" needs to earn his respect. that does not portray the friendly atmosphere here at firebirdv6.com. who are you to tell a rookie to earn his respect anyway? because you have more post and have been here longer then he has? under those premises i can tell you that you need to earn my respect since i have more posts then you do and have been here longer, correct? please calm down tyler.

tyler hahah you are so dumb. did i say my dynomax sounded good.. nope

edlebrock rasps out, spintech does, dynomax sounds bad, flowmaster does also, get over it

if h/c cars (slacker69 and nino) that ive heard and rode in. if they cant sound good with heads, cam and headers and full 3 inch catbacks then there is no way your car is going to sound good...

and i gotta earn your respect. haha whatever. keep dreaming big guy...

                        guys guys guys

no need for all this bashing. I asked if the set-up i was looking at would get me a deep low tone, i spoke not of it being identical of that of any v8. The best on the 3.8. now that it would be pointless to geting a cutout once geting a 800$ exhaust catback from BB, a Catco cat (size?), and a CAM with good lobe so that i can see some low rumble. I am hoping this would sound great
isthe set-up which i am going for.

All this bashing leads to nowhere,

Well after hearing Stefan's car at AIS i give flowmaster a big His car is sounds really close to a 5.0. Sure it loses its sound above 3500 but it still sounds desent even up top.

The ABSOLUTE POSITIVLEY BEST sounding v6 you will ever hear is the VIRUS ( had you been at AIS 2 you could have heard it for yourself )

RK Sport Headers into "almost a cat" into 3 inch mandrel bent s and i pipes into a Flowmaster ( LS1 Cat back) with 3 or 3.5 inch slash cut tips. if you think oh well i have heard flows befor and they dont sound that good you are right but with the headers and almost a cat .... the car is just ORGASMIC !!! you cant go wrong !!
AIS 2 OHH the memories... Great times and putting names with faces.
From \"interesting\" hooters waitress(Did you guys FLY ? ) to pissing BMW owners off on the ride home. To ending up in Philidelphia and USING (hahaha) an ice machine. I had a BLAST.
Thanxs to all that showed up!!
