I was watchin one of the car shows on TNN earlier and they were replacing the throttle body on a mustang saying the new one will give a lot more airflow. Is this something we can do on our cars?
You can port and polish your thorttle body, a machine shop can do this, im trying to learn from my friend soon, i don't think it's too hard. I don't know everything involved but it's also good to have a MAF translator on your car so you can adjust your air/fuel ratio, autotap and an air/fuel ratio gauge would be handy if your doing something like that also. I heard a while back that Ram Air Technologies offered some kind of programming I guess that really helped utilize the benefits of p&ping. I know they went out of business but does anybody have any more info on this?
Do a search in the advanced Tech forum, I'm sure you'll find a lot of info there. There really isn't much a market for aftermarket TBs. Your only real option other than a custom swap is to port it.

do a P&P its free and easy....yank your TB off, buy a new gasket from the store first, bust out some 1500 grit sand paper and a dremel tool with sand paper wheels and polishing wheels....I shoulda done it when I had my TB off to block off the coolant but was afraid of voiding my warranty, Ive since then learned the warranty is bull**** unless you have major engine problems...theres tons of guides out there on this and has been discussed many time before...do a search under intake/exhaust ;)
