I been trying to figure this out for ever now, on jcwhitney they say it has
(E) Includes collector reducer—fabrication required to hook up to exhaust system.
For one of the options.
This is really starting to piss me off now because I want to get these headers ASAP, but I want the y-pipe with them. Nobody has confirmed that the headers did not include the y-pipe, just based on people's words. In the picture on jcwhitney's site the headers (even though they are 3.4) are pictured with the y-pipe, and it says it includes the required hook up for the exhaust, plus they'd have to order them from pacesetter's factory and pacesetter sells them with y-pipes, i don't see why they wouldn't sell them w/o the y-pipe. Ahhh who knows, im still just waiting for one review on them and one person that orders them before I go through with it.

I called JC Whitney 3 times and talked to three different people and they all said that it didnt include the pipe from the cat to the headers. It just includes the ACTUAL headers.

I asked each one how this could be, because this must mean you would need custom fabrication, and they all pretty much said "YES, you would need this custom fabrication".

At Ammperformance they pretty much said it includes the pipe from the cat up to the headers. So i ordered a set from them today.

This is my theory. I think some stupid ***** at jcwhitney didn't think they came with the y-pipe, so that's everyone's answer to the question. You know word of mouth oh umm the other employee didn't think they came with one. See viper says that AMMperformance orders their pacesetter's from ummmmm pacesetter? So I would imagine that jcwhitney would have to get them from the same place right? Pacesetter has to supply all the same stuff in the kits, they're not gonna take out y-pipes for differen't companies. I don't feel like spending an extra $40 shipping until I get the answer I want to hear, lol.

Yeah guys, they come with a Y-pipe. I have talked our sales rep at Pacesetter, I have my own set for the 3.4L V6 from Pacesetter and it came with a y-pipe also. Thses kits DO come with the y-pipe.

If I ordered headers and they didn't arrive with the Y-Pipe I would raise hell. I mean, that is the stupidest thing and doesn't make one bit of sense in any way. Have a Y-Pipe custom made? That would cost a hell of a lot more money than you just saved. I dunno, if I had no Y-pipe I would be very pissed and I would either send them back or make them send me a Y-pipe.

When you asked them if you had the part that goes from the cat to the headers, they may have been thinking about a piece you'll need to extend the cat to the y-pipe.

How did this y-pipe business come up anyway? Who didn't get one?

They ALL come with a Y Pipe. They just DO. Pacesetter sells them that way, and those people just resell them. The only way they wouldn't is if some company bought them from pacesetter, got them, open them and threw away the y-pipe and closed the box and resold them. It would be idiotic.

Order from anywhere you want, they come complete.

Why don't you ask some of the people in this thread about the headers, since they actually HAVE them?

Well, nobody so far I know of has ordered them from JcWhitney, a few did, one guy canceled though, so no one as of yet ordered them from JcWhitney. I know a few others have them on, but they can't answer anything I need to know. I need to know what is going on with jcwhitney?

Here's the mail I wrote them.

Me:
Hi, I want to purchase your pacesetter
headers for my '96 Chevrolet Camaro 3.8L V6, the sku # you have for them is 94ZX9204WF, I was wondering if these headers you sell include the y-pipe with them. Thank you, Ted

Them:
Thank you for contacting Carparts.com & JC Whitney for your automotive needs. I am sorry, these are just the headers only.

Me:
Hi, i'm still very confused by this. I would imagine that you would have to receive these directly from Pacesetter, and they include y-pipes (pipe that connects both headers to the exhaust) in all of their kits. I had a friend that tried to order the headers from you, but instead you sent them the 4.3L Truck Headers. I think you told him that you didn't even have this part in your computers, and that it would be
special order with a new price. You are advertising them on your website at this link:

http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoit...=62925&BQ=jcw2

I just want to make sure because I really want to
order these from you guys, because you have the best prices, but i'm really confused about whats going on
here.
Thank you very much.
Ted
