I took the car to a local speed shop.
any of you guys in michigan the shop is called ATI Motorsports.
As for the performance gain I definetly noticed a very nice gain in hp all along the powerband. Umm wouldn't be able to tell ya if it was due to the bullett instead of a high flow cat cause I have never run a high flow cat. I would say the bullet is better cause there is NO restriction til it hit the muffler.\"I\'m going to torment you beyond the end of time, and hit you with a steamroller!\"

last question i promise, does it sound louder w/the bullet muffler, is it give it a good tone, better, i was going to run a flowmaster 80 series, custom 2.5 pipping, w/bullet muffler, do you thing this will sound nice(deep and throaty), i have a stock exhaust w/ a flowmaster 40 series and it sounds way to ricey!!1995 Firebird (3.4) <br />Eagle 18\" 077<br />Flowmaster 80 (2.75\") series exhaust<br />2.5\" Car Sound Cat<br />K&N Cold Air Intake <br />Alpine 12\" Type E Sub<br />Bazooka EL 1500 Amp<br />Pinoeer deh4400 and Aftermarket Speakers<br /> <a href=\"http://www.sounddomain.com/id/fbird\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.sounddomain.com/id/fbird</a>

I think it sounds better having a kit as opposed to a chopped up exhaust. Looks much cleaner too. The system witht he bullet is really deep throaty. Very nice tone throughout the RPM range. Very deep.
Hey don't worry about the questions keep em commin' I realize I am the first one on the board to have this system to any questions at all are fine with me.\"I\'m going to torment you beyond the end of time, and hit you with a steamroller!\"

hey "2002firebirdguy " you said it was illegal to have the bullet muffler instead of a cat, where did you get it put on, do you think a muffler shop would do this for me? and will the car still pass emissions tests (i live in IL)

I'm surprised no one has figured this out yet. With no cat you can eliminate most of the chainsaw/rice sound people are always describing. Of course the higher flow cats will keep you legal and closer to the sound you want. Unfortunatley only a few people have figured this out yet. I've been trying to tell everybody about this for ever on here. Ahh what're you gonna do.

Let me help everyone out here. The bullet muffler is a resonator that helps to tone down exhaust notes from a choppy sound to a smooth sound (that is how most ricers actually have a very smotth exhaust note) it is the same as a glass-packed muffler, but you want one that is big in exhaust diameter and short in length so it doesn't absorb a bunch of sound coming through your exhaust, just smoothens it.
Removing the cat on ANY car is illegal and does carry a steep fine. But if you live in a part of the country that doesn't have tail pipe testing, **** it, take it off. If you do have emissions, get a hi-flow cat and then put the resonator after the cat.
How to get a 2.5 in pipe to fit a 3 inch Y pipe, go to NAPA and get a reducer, is that hard?1995 Firebird 3.8 A4, 140,000 miles and going strong<br />Basically Stock, college=poor <p>Junior Mechanical Engineering Student: Milwaukee School of Engineering; Cpl, MN Army National Guard...just got promoted :)

Does anybody have a soundclip of a setup similar to this? I have a dynomax super turbo with the stock cat and I wanted to either get a high flo cat or delete it and I live in VA. I wanted to hear a sound clip of any exhaust WITHOUT the cat.Black 99 M5 Camaro \"6BANGER\"<p>Sport Appearance Package, Whisper Lid, SLP Cold Air Kit, K&N Filter,Dynomax Custom Cat-Back, BMR STB, Jet Stage II Module, Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch, Hurst Shifter with Custom Short Stick, RKSport 2\" Drop Springs, SS Hood, Poly Tranny Mount & TA Bushing, SLP 3.42 Gears with LSD, All Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants
