if possible to get only the resonator that comes with the american thunder thing ???.
I already have the 80 series flowmaster, so why would i need to pay $271 to get the same muffler i have already plus the resonator.if i get the dynomax resonator, can i install it after the cat without loosing any perfromance ??? do you have a part number for the dynomax resonator ???
K dude, im still a little iffy on this, a V6 will NEVER sound like a v8, it make come somewhat close but never exact. SO my question is......how close, seriously, does this sound like a v8?? ;)

If u just get the dynomax bullet. You won't need the flowmaster resonator. Here is the part# for the dynomax bullet.

It does sound pretty close to a V8. As you can see in my other posts. I have had to tell people that it IS infact a V6 car. I actually attended a car show this past sunday and drew a small crown cause I revved the car up and people asked what engine I had under the hood and I said V6. Didn't win the show though  maybe next time

Hey 2002FIREBIRD, Sterling Heights here. Did ATI say anything about the bullet being illegal? Do you think it would be possible to just replace the stock cat with the bullet ourselves? Or should a shop do it?
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!
Hey 02firebird, We appreciate your patience man, I know we are killin' ya with questions. But do you or anyone on here know where i can find resonators? Thats all I want. I already have a 2 chamber 80 series and a 3" highflow catco.
2000 Firebird 3.8, auto, flowmaster 80, taillight blackouts, 02 formula swaybars, poly endlinks and energy support bushings, 1 1/2in cut springs
WSU77: ATI is VERY cool about installing the bullet in place of the cat. They were like "It's a "high flow" cat. Very nice and very professional. Ummmm as far as doing it urself go for it if you know how to wel. I am welding retarded so I just had them do it. Hope this Helps
Panman:
The dynomax bullet is just a resonator. Infact you could probably pick up a cheap cherry bomb resonator at Meijer or something now that I think of it. Personally I would stick with the dynomax for the quality of their products as opposed to the Meijer brand.
Hope this Helps Guys. Anymore questions please feel free to post'em!

How does it sound when your not accelerating? Does it still produce the v8 sound or is it quiet? With my Flowmaster 80 series I can't even hear it while on a city street not accelerating. I love the 80 series when I first start up the car, but it cracks and sounds like a rice rocket around 3k rpm.

Well, normal city driving yeah, it gets pretty quiet in there. But highway driving I can hear it a little as the car decelerates. But I think that's due to the 3.42 gears. Ummm rice? Yeah I had that too when I had just the muffler, but now that I got the cat-back it's gone. And now that the muffler is broken in, sounds even better.

Does it crack at all at high rpms? To be truthful, all I want is my car to sound awesome while accelerating. I hate the chainsaw sound when I accelerate. Embarassing when I pull up next to a Mustang or another Firebird. So does yours sound a lot better then the old Flowmaster while accelerating? Sorry if I repeated questions already asked in this thread. I'm in a rush.
