• whole intake and exhaust setup

Well I'm thinking about leaving the IROC alone for now and doing things with the new RS. I was thinking about putting in a SLP free ram air, K&N, whisper lid, pacesetter ceremic coated headers, and a 3 or 2.5 inch American Thunder Flowmaster catback. I know there are posts on this stuff individually, but what do you guys think about all this stuff working together? Sound? Gains? Etc?

Here's what I run. You might have seen my other post on the new exhaust.

SLP RamAir
Whisper Lid
K&N Filter
Flowmaster American Thunder 2.5 kit
Dynomax Bullet Muffler to replace the cat.

Sounds really meaty. I have to tell people that I only have 6 under the hood cause they think I have 8

Hope this helps!

I think that would sound really good Go for it.

( lol, mods for my v8 also was put on hold for the v6, lid on the way, cai next for me; debating about gears)

Do you guys know how much hp I should gain if I got all those things? Not sure how much power the headers, intake, and exhaust will give me. I'm just worried about the high end sound. Firebirdguy, I hope you're right about it sounding good because I think I'm going to try your setup.

here is what i will be running.

SOON to be installed.

Pacesetter headers, 3inch high flow cat, 3 inch mandrel bend S PIPE, 3 inch I pipe, 3 inch mandrel bent over axle pipe, fed into an 80 series muffler.

also to compliment it. SLP CAI.

i've heard from many that it will sound mean as hell, and pull hard up at the topend.

but then again there are a select few that dont understand a v6 is a v6 and will never sound like a v8. so they say it will never sound like one, and it will sound ricey. but im not going for a v8 sound.. wont happen unless i add 2 more cylinders. im going for a good sounding v6

your set up should sound good too.

you should gain, from what others told me, about 10-15 hp with it all

but this is how i look at it. Our stock pipes are 2.25 inch. why spend the same amount of money only upgrading a quarter of an inch? for the same price you can go all out and get 3 inch all the way through. that way, incase you add nitrous or forced induction, you will be ready.

have fun!

I'm just wondering if it will mess with my warranty. If I take the cat off it probably will. I want to try that dynomax in place of the cat, if you think about it, its not a bad idea, would probably sound good. I just wish I could hear a sound clip

Does anyone have a problem with the pacesetter headers leaking?

Does anyone else already have pacesetters on now? I need to know if they leak or not before I get them.

I'm not sure about the gains as far as hp or torque but there is a noticable kick in the car's performance.

Check out my other post on the new exhaust
