I am going to remove my throttle body to clean it out and was wondering if anyone who has done it before has any suggestions on things to be careful of or to look out for? thanks.

I removed mine, totally stripped it down including the return springs and butterfly flap, then soaked it in a mix of about 80% warm water and 20% simple green in a 5 gallon bucket for an hour. Took it out and used an old toothbrush to scrub most of the carbon off, then used a pipe cleaner inside of the hard to reach area's. Then I soaked it again in hot water only to get rid of anything I may have missed. Cleaned the springs off and re-assembled everything. Ran GREAT afterwards!
Do NOT attempt to clean the MAF! The little exposed sensor is extremely sensitive, very fragile, and way too expensive to replace if broken!! Leave it alone when it's removed, and put it in a safe place until you're ready to put everything back together. You don't need to bother with the TPS either. That shouldn't have gotten dirty at all.
As for the IAC, you CAN clean the exterior spring with the toothbrush (you'll see it when you remove it from the TB) but it may be better to just replace it. Autozone has them for about $30.
