  • Pacesetter Headers are on! Read before you install.

Well they went on pretty smoothly, but i also removed the cat and such. Do not use stock manifold gaskets they leak. Use the paper ones that come with them, they are a much tighter seal on the header. I have to change mine, but i have to wait about a week to do so.

The car sounds so much better now its great. I get tons of looks now.
If you have any questions ill try to answer them.

No i didn't do it myself, but i was there the whole time. IT took more time to take off the stock manifolds then to put the headers on. You don't have to remove the starter like the paper says, it fits in there fine. It took about 4 hours, but here was alot of interuptions, but thats with take the cat and stuff off and welding new stuff in.

I acutlly recemend you use the paper gaskets that come with them, just soak them.

The car does feel stronger, but i do have leaks on both sides, on hte headers, that be fixed next week.

Is the y-pipe collector going into the cat 3" or 2.5"?

there will definately be a gain if he has a 97. its a more direct flow from the head to the collector than from the manifolds.

im sure up top he feels it.

if not. when i get mine on, ill let you kno how it feels

Did you have to weld the headers on?

It feels stronger, but do leaks take away at all? I regret useing the stock manifold gaskets, when we compared them after we had the headers on you could tell the paper ones were a much tigher fit and would fit around the headers alot better. Iam ok with that click noise, until i get it fixed next friday.
