one more question.. did it hook right up to the EGR valve?

heard rumors that the 3.4 pacesetter headers didnt line up too well with the egr valve.

If these are quality enough not to separate the primaries from the flange.

And there is a decent chassis dyno gain from running them. These will probably be my choice when I go to do my exhaust.

I'm doing the same as Tyler. The whole thing at once. Best exhaust you can possibly run on a 3.8L.

But in finding that the collector for PSH (our new short name for Pace Setter Headers)is only 2.5", that will not cut it for me...or rather I will have to cut it. :D Replace that with a 3" collector.

Wouldn't it be nice... depending on what size the primary tubes are, to just use the flanges. And build headers based off of a low flowing SBC with 1-5/8" primaries, long tubes, again with a 3" collector.

When its all done, I'll go ahead and spend the money to get those jet-hot coated.

            Yup,
            1-1/2" primary tubes, and a
            2-1/2" collectors.

            nuthing a torch won't fix.

Jet Hot is just what one company calls their ceramic coating process. Same deal.

From what I've seen. They'll do a set of headers for about 200 bucks. Its steep but for the looks and actual performance it does give you, I think its well worth it.

I wonder why they would make the collector size smaller than stock size. If the collector is 2.5", then what's the size of the Y-pipe??

But its pointless to have any part of your exhaust bigger than the size of your collector.

My collector was 3 inches guys. We took a 3 inch piping and a clamp and that was done.
