okay I actually heard the Flowmaster American Thunder system in person that my friend got and I did not like it  we went on the highway and had it about 75-80 and it was too loud. I know they were supposed to loud but I did not think too loud. So i cancelled my order and I am thinking about getting a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. Any experiece with these??? I heard a sound clip of it and it sounds like what i want since it is kinda mellow. Only thing is every site I go to it lists that it is for V8's only. So if anybody has part numbers on what I need I would greatly appreciate it. I also went to there website and they said they sell it at O'Reily's (auto part store) so if i go and just buy the muffler, what else would I need?? thanks a lot for any input!

Part number for the muffler is 17739.
Here's a clip from inside my car with the Dynomax exhaust: 15.8@89_small.zip
Pics of my tips: Pic 1 Pic 2. (They don't really stick out as far as it looks.)
Might want to think about getting a bigger I-Pipe while you're doing exhaust: WLK-53061 and WLK-54064 from Summit for a 3" I-Pipe.

My install was $170. That included installing the Cat, Cutout, Muffler, and Tips, along with making a 3" S-Pipe and Tailpipes.
I would order a bigger I-Pipe to help with the sound and give a little better performance. Personally, I like the 3", but some people like to stick with 2.5" or 2.75". If you want 2.75", you can get one from a V8 F-Body. With 3", you will loose a little low-end torque, but you will gain a whole lot up high.
You should also free up the intake, if you have the money. Get a Whisper Lid and a K&N filter ($180). Also do the Free Ram Air mod.
With all this, you'll be good to go...for a while! :D

yup! my friend ordered before me and i saw post after post that this was the best one out. so they hooked up and everything and it was pretty loud. i know they were meant that way, "thunder", but going on the highway and traveling for a bit was really bad. it sounded good dont get me wrong, just i thought it would be kinda mellow but real deep. well it was real deep and real loud lol. so i looked at Matt's clip and that is more the sound i want and its not all loud and stuff. just right. i know it takes time for the muffler to break in but ehhh.98 Camaro V6
