• Might be swaying towards 3 inch exhaust is better

On a highly modified car.
Stock or mildly modified I think I'd go with 2.5, but I'm still learning

Well, now I'm running rk sport headers, 3 inch catco high flow cat, 3 inch madrel bent s pipe, 3 inch slp loudmouth.
It is SILLY loud!!!!!!!!!!!!
My old set up was 2.5 inch the whole way (2.5 catco, 2.5 non mandrel bent s pipe, 3 inch edlebrock cat back).
It made good power
170 rwhp and 200 rwtq n/a
315 rwhp and 380 rwtq nitrous

Well, I've been driving around for the past couple days and the bird feels quite strong top end, much stronger than before.

I have to get track proof first.
Updates soon

I thought my 3 inch setup pulled harder than my 2.5" also. I really got the headers and 3" for the cam and nitrous

I'm only lightly modded, but i have found the 3" to be great at higher speeds and rpms. Thats where i really notice it most. Its much quicker when punching it from say 60 or 70 on the highway. Strong all the way to triple digits, if i feel the need to go that fast.

I'll probably make the switch also since I most likely will be spraying in the future.

Sound:
Idle: it sounds actually awesome. It is growing on me tremendously. This is rk sport headers, 3 inch catco, 3 inch LM

WOT: sounds like a pissed off weed wacker. More toned than a cut out. Loud as sh*t

Highway (3:23 gears at 75 mph): 2200 rpm +- it seems kinda quiet, sure if I touch the throttle it gets loud but it is completely liveable.

Keep in mind I removed back seats, removed sound deadener and so on so my car's interior is MUCH louder than most.

The test will be n/a and nitroused runs. I think it will sound absolutely insane on nitorus. Soooo damn loud!!!

Weed wacker-not good. I'm shocked. You was very loyal to your edelbrock exhaust. What made you decide to swtich to the loudmouth?

I believe that he is going for total track performance now.

Weight reduction.
I lost about 20 pounds off the car.

It is no longer a daily driver so I am getting a bit crazy with it

I love it downlow and I only have the catback. Up high it's just a little too much, but I'm not sure I'd go any other route.
