  • A good sounding and performing exhaust

First off, why does the 3.4 sound deeper than a 3.8? I assume because of the 60 deg vs. the 90 deg, or is it something else? At the I pipe i want to put on a sweetthunder exaust muffler, should i use the 18 or 24 inch? After that i wanted to run dual 3 in pipes out. Looking at the muffler, it looks like there aren't any chambers. Would a chambered muffler be less raspy at high RPMs? Could i use resonaters to reduce the raspy sound? Would the resonators decrease any performance gains? Lets all face it, most every car will sound raspy, its just a matter of reducing it. Also is it worth it to buy headers, for performance gains?

I think it is mainly the 90*, which I've heard motorcycles run, which would also explain why my car in the upper r's sounds similiar to my brother's honda sportsbike (with aftermarket...but that was when I had an exhaust leak).

A resonator will help with the raspiness. Magnaflow is also a straight through and a lot of people complain about it being raspy.
