• Finally heard my exhaust from the outside (of the car)

Sometime ago my brother drove it, but that was with an Exhaust leak, and he floored it-sounding not so good above 4500k rpm. Plus it was on a straight road.

Today, my dad was getting off of work and I asked him if he would take it around the block. (This time the exhaust leak was fixed). And he would have to back up, take it around a corner, and after the stop light take a sharp right turn, giving me a longer and better idea of what it actually sounded like instead of going straight down the road. Here's what I think:

It sounded so much better on the outside of the car(he brought it up to 2500rpm to 3k). Still a v6, but it sounded good. While it wasn't as deep as a mustang gt, it did have a similiar sound, a sort of tunneling hollow sound.

Then he drove by, probably in the 4500 rpm and that's where things sounded crappy :( , sounded much like a Honda Civic. I've driven on that same stretch of road, accelerating hard and from the driver's seat it's always sounded good...but not from the outside, i wanted to .

Overall, I'm happy with the sound...it just gives me another reason (one being gas milage) to keep it low rpm, below 4500K ).

Has anyone else heard their car from the outside, what'd ya' think??

I love mine! I have a flowmaster muffler but it still sounds so sweet! I had my dad drive it around the block for me too and i was very impressed. Although, he kept it under 3000k rpms i think?

I love the way my car sounds right now, has a nice mean deep sound, and while flooring it, it sounds like an exotic, basically a 6cyl w/o the chainsaw. Too bad I can't keep it like this forever

I had my brother drive my car after the flowmaster was well broken in. He floored it off the line going through 1st gear and halfway through 2nd before letting off. Coming of the line it sounded desent, got alittle raspy but nothing that was nasty sounding, once it shifted into 2nd it sounded really good with a nice deep roar emitting from it with no rasp at all. He came back around and did a drive by for me having it floored at around 65mph, sounded REAL GOOD when he drive by with that nice deep roar. Car sounds awesome below 3500. I love how my car sounds and the deep roar that it has when floored, even when it does get raspy it is not that bad, almost like a V8 rasp. :D

Sometimes my fiancee will take my car to work, and I can hear it from inside the house. It sounds AWSOME!

Cool, so you like the 40 series, and one of the few to ever have one . Don't know what that sounds like but I did have the Delta 40 and it wasn't bad at all, and it was just a toned down version of yours.
