sorry i meant this is what im planning, someone said that the bullet muffler isnt really a "muffler" it acts more of a resonator, and i wanted to remove the cat and just replace it with the bullet but here in IL its illegal so im gonna give a try putting it on after the cat. heres the post that started it all http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...&f=25&t=003582

so its gonna have... a cat, muffler, resonatoer..then another muffler.

i dunno..too me it seems like it would be restrictive.

how about cat, bullet muffler, minus the resonator from the AT system, and just the 80 series?

whatever you do. im sure it will sound good!

take a look at the muffler http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...26&prmenbr=361 its not the conventional square muffler i thought it was at first so i do think it should be very restrictive

i agree, that might be too restrictive. It might sound good though. Not sure.

well what are sings of restriction and what if perhaps i went with 3" piping all the way threw?

i dont think you could go wrong with 3 inch pipeing.... because what if you ever want to spray? add forced induction.. for the same price, you might as well go all out on exhaust

well i know i will probably never spray just becuase i have no real need to (dont go to the track that often), so the only need i would have for 3" would be forced intro which is alittle outta my $$$ range.

I have a 3" exhaust. I love how deep it is, and that I can upgrade to nitrous of SC later if i want to. I have an 80 series flowmaster, but w/ quad resonated tips. The tips take the rice out at high rpms, and with 3" piping, don't affect flow much. I still have the stock cat tho, and stock tubular manifolds. I might upgrade to a 3" cat when I hit 50k. The more intake mods you have, the better, because adding all the intake and exhaust mods together make a ton of power, cuz they compliment each other. going with the resonator is a good idea, but put it on a 3" exhaust. if you still wanna just do a 2.5" cat, then that's fine, at least in the future u won't have to deal w/ pipe size issues, and the sound and power will be great.

but isnt there a loss of power on the lower rpm range with 3"?? well the cat-back came today and was thinking about it all day and am going to try a 3" catco followed by the bullet then the catback whats the worst that could happend, i end up re working some stuff. life is just one big experiment!

nope..and if there is..its not even noticeable.. yet the topend pull makes up for it all..

you figure.. when your racing.. first gear is the only gear that starts under 3k rpms... thats why i went to 3 inch.

                            but thats my 2 cents.
