With a cutout could I rattle other people's cars in the staging lanes? :D Is it that loud at idle or ... no?

it wont be shakin anyone elses car but your will make some new rattles..the little cheap black gate deals on the a4 shifter will rattle like no other..the resonance will be there and the drone will drive you insane after awhile..but the good thing is you can close it up

It will sound mean..but beware of rattles and stuff..although this was on an LS1 but id bet the rattle will be in the same place

I can only speak from experience with having no cat on the car, so basically running open headers. Stock headers mind you, until my RK's get here.

It is LOUD. The car rattles, not much at idle but once you step on it, it will be pretty loud. Say someone is driving next to you, with their windows down, they will go deaf for awhile if you are at WOT. Just ask redbird00, right merlin??? :D

If you can put a resonator on before the cutout, it'll take away some of the crap nasty sound when you mash the gas. That's what i'm doing when i get the Y pipe welded up with the RK's.

oh yeah that $hit is LOUD when scott drove by me, had the tops off, made my ears ring, gettin my cutout put on this weekend hopefully, but i wouldn't worry bout rattling things, same as a high powered stereo system(the bass) prob?? i dunno, i like it.

I was at the track today and I finally ran into a guy with a cutout. He has a cutout on his 97 camaro RS and it sounded DAYUM GOOD. I didn't get a chance to hear it at WOT, but at idle and when he reved it up, it sounded like a mean V8! Straight Up! LOL, now i'm thinking about getting one.
