I really want to get exhaust, and considering the power to price ratio i am thinking that i want to go with borla. But the thing is i am reading and getting so many different thoughts from people, some say that it is to loud even if you have stock manifolds and cats, others say that it isn't very loud at all. Don't get me wrong i love loud exhaust my old honda had a japanesse spec motor with no muffler, but the thing is this is my daily driver. So when talking in terms of price, sound and power what should i do? Is it best just if i get the Z28 piping under the car so that i am running 2.75 and maybe even through on the stock Z28 muffler? Or should i get some kind of magnaflow and throw on an extra resinator? Or should i just go with TexasSpeeds Rumbler? And the most important thing is that i want as little rice up top as possible. And i won't buy borla cause that is to expensive, and i am told that loudmouth is just to loud and a bit ricey. Or lastly should i just get some shop to custom bend me some piping and throw like a dynomax muffler and or a resinator on it? I know all these options have there ups and downs, but knowing what i want, which do you think is best for me? Sound and anti rice up top is more important than a couple of horsepower, which is why i have no problem throwing on a resinator.

I always had Flowmaster catbacks on my Camaros, I think they sound better. ALL the catbacks will have rice on top end, no exhaust setups on a V6 make them sound like 8's, I dont care what anyone says. I've listened to lots of setups and I always stayed with Flowmaster

Exhaust is weird because different people have different opinions. I don't think my loudmouth is that loud; that is a good example because eveyone else seems to think it is:p. As for the sounding like a v8 thing that red94camaro said, its not what you do to your exhaust to sound like a v8, its what you do to your engine:) Some guys on here i think sound like v8s.
