I believe that hood is the SuncoastCreations hood because they have that same black WS6 picture on their website.

I think that second link price is just for the airbox and doesn't include the filter or plumbing. SuncoastCreations makes a ram-air hood "kit" that comes with the hood and everything to make it functional. Many places resell SC hoods. LMPerformance, LGMotorsports, Tbyrne, etc.

LG has the hood for $595 and the airbox kit for $300. You would probably have to modify the plumbing to fit the 3.8 but I think you would have that issue with any hood to make it functional.

I have both the hood and airbox, and have not come up with a exceptable way of making it work.

SLP did make a V6 ram air kit but it is no longer available.

I fabricated my own airbox and intake to make my hood functional.

That works great on a 3.4L, but the subject is about a 1996 3.8L - much different.

I know the 96-99 3.8 intake is angled down and to the right, but really it shouldn't be that difficult to make something with a compound curve to reach it.

I wouldn't have let having a 3.8 keep me from making my WS6 hood functional! ;)

Mine started out as a Suncoast box designed for an LT1 with a blower. The tube came off the back pointed towards the ABS. I had to lop the whole back of the box off and reshape it using a Bondo fiberglass repair kit and some thin-wall PVC.
