My friend gave me a resistor to put on my air flow sensor (the thing that plugs into the lid) and he said it advances the timing to give better gas mileage. Is this true?

i dont think so, the only good it has is when you are at wot and it is really hot outside, it will trick the system to think the incoming air is at a lower temperature than it really is and thene advances the timeing 1 or 2 degrees i believe.
