I have no idea how that would sound. I have heard good things about the SLP Loudmouth, but nothing about their take-off. Try it if you're brave....

Does anyone know the dimensions on it? I'll assume that it's from a V8 since it has dual out pipes. Which would lead me to believe it's 2.75", but correct me if I'm wrong. If it is 2.75, would a 2.5 cat & pipes be a bad thing?

2.75 or 2.5 in and 2.25 outs I believe.


I would not bother buying that from SLP. You could get a used stock TA formula cat back from free to 50 bucks. Then you would would already have a 2.75 inch I pipe.

i have a muffler off a WS6 and i am satisfied with the way it sounds, its very quiet. idle is pretty throaty when its cold. if you dont want something increditably loud then youre prolly good with a take off.

I've got it. It's OK, in retrospect I cant' believe I paid for it -- I also got a free 2000 or so SS catback. Whatever, I still have the SLP muffler on, looks nice, sounds slightly deeper than stock, no rice at high rpms. Keep in mind it's a stock, restrictive, etc., GM muffler. Honestly, don't get it.

hey does anyone know where i can get those exact tips that are in the picture. I once saw them on a y87 firebird, but i don't know if they come stock. If they do i may just go to the dealer and buy some. All the other tips i have seen are to square or to flat. sorry about intruding in here but i would like tto know. Thanks

Dewey, if there's a local fbody board in your area, post what you're looking for. You might come off getting one for dirt cheap.

Tried that, there isn't a local board around. SON OF A @#$%& There's got to be a way to save some l00t on this. Getting married in 4 mos. so $$ is tight, but I'm dying to complete my intake & exhaust mods.
