I recently emptied my cat, so its hollow inside like a straight pipe. Now i need a muffler. However, i dont want to go spending 500 for a catback, i have a tight budget. I have heard good things about the dynomax turbo and the flowmaster delta. I really would hate for it to sound raspy or like a rice burner. Thats the last thing i need, I hate those things!

dynomax is quieter than flowmaster but much less raspy. And it's quite cheap, I love mine. You could also get a larger I-pipe if it's not deep enough for you.97 White Pontiac Firebird 3.8 A4
Mods- 2.75\" exhaust, Dynomax muffler, magnaflow cat, SLP CAI, Hypertech 160* thermo, Fan switch
Suspension-Kumho Ecsta 712\'s, 32mm/19mm sway bars

Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don\'t fail us now.
-Elwood Blues

Flowmaster is not raspy at all under a load (neutral rev is a different story) although the Dynomax is quieter and a little more mellow sounding. I like my Flowmaster 80. You might want to consider an SLP Loudmouth too. Its louder than the Flowmaster because its only a resonator technically, not a muffler.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

Get the Flowmaster. Its louder and has much more rumble to it. It will cost a little more, but its worth it.2003 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe, Daytona Blue, Frost leather interior, navigation, 18 inch wheels, M6, fully loaded, intake, crank pulley.

Previous cars:
1991 Mustang (347)
2002 RS Camaro
1985 IROC-Z (305)
1994 Camaro convertible V6

I'm starting to lean more and more to the flowmaster. Another question came up as i was riding with my buddy in his SS. He has a powerchip on his car. Who makes a good cheap chip for a 3.4, i have tried to search but not much luck. One more for you guys, and don't think i'm an idiot. Whats the difference in power chips vs. programmers? I tend to mainly know more on exaust and internal engine work.\'94 Pontiac Firebird 3.4
MODS
Custom CAI, by pass cat,
soon to come
SLP CAI, sweet thunder exhaust, 1.25 lowering springs, 3 pt sub frame connectors, traction bar, port & polished heads & intake manifold, Headers, strut tower bar, ram air hood, SLP rims 18 in, tires? any suggestions?
