  • S-Pipe blues....

I have now checked out three different places in my attempts to find a 3" s-pipe. Each place quoted me at $400 to do it. Thats the biggest rip off ever!!. Can you buy a 3" s-pipe anywhere? I'm so fed up with this, its the only part holding me back from my 3' cat back system.

You can get two 90 degree mandrel bends from JC Whitney for less than 30 bucks. Some members get 45 degree bends. You can also do like I did and get a 3inch ipipe for 93-95 z28 from summit racing. Cost under 100 bucks. Part numbers 42273 and 45593. You need both parts. I didn't need an s-pipe. Muffler shop made it work by adding two 3-5 inch pipes to my total setup. Hope this helps.

I had the 90 degree pipes at first, but thanx to slacker, I found outthe 45 degree pipes will work and flow better.

Just to double check, you ordered 2 of these?
        "45 Degree Mandrel-Bent Aluminized Tubing, (A/B)=7", (C)=3", ID=1-3/8", OD=1-1/2" "

Thanks, I'd say thats a bit cheaper than 400 bucks!

That's correct. You need 2 of em to make the S pipe, but not that part# you have quoted. Click my S Pipe link in my sig for the correct one.

Or you can order the one from Thunder Racing, on the LT1 exhaust accessories. 3 inch, 70 bucks. Also the SLP will work just fine, that's not BS!

The SLP pipe is a 3" S-Pipe and links up perfectly with any *normal* 3" I pipe and 3" cat.

                          Hell, Im getting it.

If the SLP pipe does work, my bad, but you're still paying an extra 30 bucks just for the convenience of it already being welded together.
