imo uhh the coton is soaked witht he oil hence what makes the filter work... AND the dirt further prevents the oil from going any where... imo this is bs i COULD be wrong... but uhh if it was true.. they would get hella sued for "ruining parts" any way not a flame... btw get those pics up i wanna see..

there's a snap ring around it you have to take off then you can just take the MAF out with ease. I wouldn't cut into it, you might want it back in there after a while.
Your pics dont work...but I still think MY Home Depot CAI OWNZ YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pics in sig)
EVERYONE READ THIS
BTW: People have tried many different set ups and have all found (including LT1 guys) that nothing works better than a flexible tubing that you can flatten and put between the ABS unit and the radiator. and for those that have said "Oh its pinched, it cant flow as well"....It doesnt matter of something is shapped like this: O or like () as long as they are both the original diameter they flow EXACTLY the same....in other words...a flattened 4 inch tube flows the same as a perfectly round one, unless it is pinched shut. But a ~5 inch high, ~3 inch wide space is basically as good as a 4 by 4 inch space.

I agree... that home Depot CAI OWNZ!
but as for oval vs, circular for flow... you are wrong, in the big scheme of things circular flows better, BUT any area less hen 2 feet long you will notice no difference so a pinched tube by ABS unit will work. thats why I don't care its in my car.
But say an OVAL Catback exhaust system will not work as well as a circular setup.
here is a quick right up on it tht I got frm the advanced section over at www.Camaroz28.com

This thread is a year old guys, i dont know if the person is even still around.
Anyway, tell me this then. with all this talk about bends and altering the pipe, wouldnt it be ideal to just put a cone filter on the TB and somehow rout ducting right up to the filter, not into the TB. That way turbulance wouldnt be affected, dont have to worry about bends, and you would still get the cold air effect from the ducting leading up to the cone filter.
Hello every one, ozzy here ive been looking at this page for weeks now finally joined. So my question is why is it that every turbo build forum just ends...
Just saw it on Facebook, looks awesome. The front and rear nice looking....
