Exhaust Set Up Question

Is there enough room under my 01' Camaro to run a custom system with the muffler behind the headers.


Here's what I'm talking about in more detail -

I've got some Pace Setter Headers, and I was wondering if I could get rid of the cat and if it was possible to put a muffler in its place and dump it right there?


Is there just not enough room to put on in there or are there any smaller mufflers that have good sound and performance.

You could do that with just a glass pack, but it will be illegal, and horrible, loudly awful. Almost sound like open headers. In other words, awful. ;)

yes, there is a guy in our COFBA club that has i think two sitting right under there on his convertible camaro. sits real low though dude.

I saw a guy that had true duals one night on a red one. He had glass packs on it and they sat really low.

I hate the way glass packs sound, escpecially on a v6.

They could have been mufflers, they just looked like packs from what I saw, it was night so what I saw could have been anything lol.
