I want to put in Pacesetter Headers and Y-Pipe, a catco cat and a cat-back exhaust. I do not weld and I don't want ot bring it to a shop and pay someone to weld anything. Can the Y-Pipe to the cat use a clamp instead of welding? Also where can I find a Catco Cat for a 2000 Firebird 3.8L V6 and has anyone put the Pypes Cat-Back Exhaust System on their car?

Clamps are a temporary measure. If you don't want to get it welded, don't get an exhaust.

Summit carries all the Catco cats.

yea you pretty much need to weld everything in order to prevent leaks down the road. Clamps wouldn't be wise for headers and cat.

buy everything you need for the exhaust that you want...headers, cat, and cat back...I would install the headers in the driveway so you save money there and drive the car open headers to the shop you want to take it to..."give some notice when u are going up there" and let them weld everything else in...if you dont the header install is going to hit your bank

you will have more leaks than a submarine with a screen door. or you will be riding down the road one day, clamp decides to give and there goes your exhaust layin on the ground
