Re: fipk vs. ram air
I would say just get whisper lid...k&n filter and if you want more air just do the free mod or get the fast toys ceral box and put it on....so far the lid and filter have been proven to be more effective2002 Firbird,
STS GT35mm-61 Turbo, HP Tuners, 3.73,UMI LCAS,UMI Panbar
Nitto NT555R P245/50R16 96v, NGK spark plugs t55, transgo shift kit, Jet servo

Re: fipk vs. ram air
My dad made me a mock-replica of the SLP Ram Air Intake, then I did the FRA mod and shaved the airbox. Oh, and I replaced the air "bellow" things with a tube from ZZP, plus removing my MAF screen. And I can now hear it sucking air pretty good at WOT.
In other words, I did approximately the same thing a lot of other people do for about $20 where everybody else is spending upwards of $200-300. Moral of the story: try to make your own stuff!
