thanks hokiebird!
if money is not a factor, (my parents offered to buy intake as a birthday gift to go along with the new exhaust) what should I go for?
Get a cold air kit and a lid. The brands don't really matter. Just shoot for what you like for the price. If the lid you choose doesn't have a filter with it pick up a K&N for it.
anybody dyno test a whisper lid? I honestly don't see how there can be much of a difference from the stock air box. What's the difference?
Bump... I'm interested in buying a whisper lid, but not if it doesn't do anything. I've done the slp intake and k&n filter, and i saw difference w/those, but can a lid really do that much?
Wow. Sounds better? I didn't expect all that from a smooth whisper lid. That may be my next mod. I noticed a diff w/the intake, that's for sure.
Yeah, when I installed the lid with the k&n filter I could deffinetely hear that it was much throatier, getting rid of those big coconut looking air baffles helps alot.
Works really well with my fast toys cold air intake to
