I'm buying a 2.5" flowmaster catback for my 3.8L 2002 camaro and i would also like to replace the stock catalytic converter with a high flow one. The problem is that i do not know anything about the cat's, all i know is that i need one that fits a stock camaro with a flowmaster catback. I've been reading other threads but all i could find is that i need a 3"in 2.25"out cat. Is this true? Where do i find a cat that size? Magna flow only seems to have a 2.5" in/out high flow cat.

I have also read that flowmaster exhausts can be found for 200$. Where can you get these for that price? The cheapest i could find was for 304.99$ at summit racing.

I'm sorry if these same questions have been asked before, but i looked and couldn't find anything very helpful and i am just getting into this modifing thing so sometimes i don't always understand what people are talking about.

    Thanks for any help.

your flow master just go to a muffler shop i did they did my cat back for 300.00 put flowmaster muffler on and i replaced my cat while i was there i have an extra one if you want to buy it is has a 3" for your down pipe and a 2.5" out (which is an adapter) which can be taken out to make 3" out just call around to muffler shops get some quotes and there you go at a shop they charge alot for cats so your better off getting it off ebay or me ;) but they can weld anything together really so what ever size you get the can make fit if they have too.

they charged you $300 for labor or for the whole deal? And is replacing the cat really even worth the cash? I'm on a really limited budget so if it doesn't do much in the performance area i can live without a new one.

yes 300 for the cat back parts and labor you need to call around and if you find a place thats chraging like 325 tell the next place i'm getting prices and just want to see what your chraging when they say how much are you getting quoted just say 300 then say but i'd rather go with you since your closer;0). but do i think the cat is worth it, i think it is only really worth it if you have the headers but not if your strapped for cash if your tight on cash do some free intake mods or make your own intake (look at my good idea bad idea post on here.)
