should have gotten the Austin Super Sucker Ram-air in the first place
Well, this is what the description of this item says:
"SSRA Scoop Addon for Whisper, FTRAs, and SLP's Cold Air kit as well." http://www.lmperformance.com/3476/13.html
I've been thinking to make an add-on by myself with two openings in the middle to connect two A/C unit pipes coming from the front grill. This would not interfere with the main opening where the air gets in. Have any of you done something like this before?

i got the level 2 Austin SSRA.....it's awesome...throttle response is so much better...worth every penny....
Yeah... but theres like an air slit "hole" to where it connects to the cold air duck, and air can leak from there, reducing the whole supercharging effect.... any clues on that?
And kala, not sure if your kit came with the rubber gasket or not? it blocks off the old part where air used to suck from, didin't see it in the pic just making sure you have it on..
it does have the rubber gasket. its not so much about getting boost but getting to cooler air from the front of the car into your intake instead of the engine bay. there really isnt going to be much of an issue with that hole

A piece of plastic can be trimmed to the form of that hole. Silicone may be used to attach it.
Camaro99\'3.8, original spoil package (no body mods...PROUDLY), K&N, Lid 3800II, SLP CAI, Flowmaster, Z28Chrome Tips, 180* Thermostat.

Well my fastoys one does the same thing, but sucks it up straight from the airdam instead, basically just as cold...
The the austin has to have some kind of better ram or something to be worth it..
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
