  • Big Exhaust Problem

    My problem is my rk sport headers are leaking were the headers meet the down pipe. I have Tried a thicker guesket and after a week It has blown out the side of the gasket. It is all was the same side.

    is this on the ball flanges? i have a little leak on my pacesetters in the same spot. Its not very big, but enough to piss me off. I think im just going to weld it when i get a chance.

      No there not ball flanges. It is flat on flat. I know i will to weld them. but I was thinking it some how I can clamp down the sides some how.

        yeah, mine are currently clamped down. Have a piece at the top of one flange and another at the bottom, and i got 2 bolts that run down and connect the flanges together on both sides. You could easily find something like that at lowes/home depot. ill try to find a pic for you. You probably already have what im talking about, but im not too familiar with the rks.

        Well, i looked at pics of both the headers and it seems we have the same type of connection except for the fact yours is flat and mine is round? I dont really know what to tell you except to spot weld it where it is leaking. Any type of gasket you put around there is going to burn/melt off most likely.
