Re: cutout reviews
i cant seem to get the search function to work in this section, but last night i was looking through old posts and i found a post where multiple people posted gains from about 5 to 8 hp. I have no ideas how accurate these numbers are. I never really notice a difference with modifications as far as SOTP goes, but I sure dont think i lost anything. If i did, theres always the option to cap it, and it sure is fun to uncap it and hear the sound from time to time. I also remember that if you get one the best location hp wise is right in front of the over axle pipe in the little space in the floor pan.

Re: cutout reviews
This subject is confusing the sh¡t out of me. As far as i know no engine needs back pressure (old wives tale). When you force induce an engine you need to expell exhaust as much as possible. If a cutout after the cat makes you loose power then the more high flow your muffler the more power you lose in that theory. I respect what 12secondv6 says and if he has conformation on this loss of power on a dyno then it must have some validity even tho it goes against most i have learned. What i want to know is exactly why 12secondv6 lost soo much power.

it moves the TQ higher in the RPM band........ as and example peak tq might come in at 4800 instead of the stock 4500 (i think thats stock) at any rate its an exaple
there also the fact that he's not dyno tuned for it....... with a tune you can gain in the are it move buy adjusting the AFR and timingwww.turbov6camaro.com
