I have a 2002 Firebird with a Flowmaster Amer. Thun. catback, installed at a shop. Since install, when going over bumps, the system is knocking around and hitting the floorpan. I think it might be the square resonator that's hitting. Should I go back to the shop?, or is there something I can use as a bumper for it??

Re: Exhaust system bouncin' around
when i got mine put on a while back, it did the same thing. the problem eventually fixed itself though once the hangers broke in and the system eventually dropped a little giving it more clearance from the bottom of the car.Black 1996 3.8 Firebird T5, SLP CAI, Pacesetter Ceramic Headers,160* t-stat, PCMforLess Tune, Flowmaster American Thunder catback, Car Sounds Cat, custom s-pipe, MSD coils and wires, NGK plugs, 3.42 posi rear, B&M Ripper, 245/50 BFG-G-force's

Ya, I would just take it back in. Or you could just get under there and see if all the hangers are properly tightened..... that might save you some time.
