Gutted the cat awhile back becuase it broke. sounds better down low but the rasp is horrible. so i was looking around for resonators/glasspack seen a 3in bullet was only like 40 bucks so i got one hoping to tame it a little. cost me like 47 bucks shipped ill prob just toss it on as soon as it gets here.

a bullet will do more than a resonator will. i'd go for it.

im confused, are you replacing the Cat with a bullet muffler, or just adding the muffler to tame the rasp. im pretty sure this is a stupid question but I'd like to verify cause i need to replace my cat with something, and this looks like a sweet solution. I have somewhat bullet mufflers, 2 to be exact, they were on there when i bought the car, they tame the rasp til about 3500 rpms, and they give it kinda a ricey v8 sound(as odd as that may sound), but at least its better than stock.

im pretty sure he had one, but it clogged. i can find you a pic of a bullet if you want? theres little bumps on one side, and little holes on the other side. ( side being in/out )

i had a high flow cat, the comb broke inside and was rattling. so i gutted it then it rasped like hell. so my solution was to replace it with a bullet.
got it today! ordered it sunday night and got it today damn summit! also got all kinda stickers and a hat. got it on at 1st and was having some clearance issues, the second curve on the s-pipe kept hitting the heat sheild on bumps. played with it for a little while and i think i got it now.
so hows it sound? sounds pretty damn good! best so far(high flow cat no catback, highflow cat and lm, gutted cat and lm). inside the car it doesnt seem to be rasping at all, seems like it goes from the down low roar to screaming.
i checked out the bullet and it looked exactly like a glass pack, no difference at either end, i did however get the short one maybe theres a difference.
power output in the midrange is much impoved over the gutted cat and decently better all around.
i got a vid clip of just an open y-pipe while i had it apart. tomarrow ill try to get a clip with the catback and bullet on.
