  • sounds like a V8

i finished my exhaust a month ago, and wow, it sounds great. About 4 times i was mistakin for a v8. The only problem is that now every v8 mustang and camaro is trying to race me. This is exactly what i have done: pacesetter headers, gutted cat, 3" s-bend, flowmaster reducer to 2.5", 2.5" summit glasspack sum-630805, 2.5" pipe back to a flowmaster 2.5" 80 series muffler, everything is mandral bent

Nice, that sounds a lot like my setup:

Pacesetter headers, 3" Catco cat, 3" custom S pipe, 3-2.5" reducer, 2.5" American Thunder Flowmaster Catback(with the box resonator)

It sounds real mean at idle but it's pretty quiet during driving. Go WOT though and it gets pretty loud. And rasp is very minimal; it starts at 4000 rpm.

On the downside it does sound a bit restricted near redline. If I ever get my act together and get the car prepped for a turbo, I'll change to a 3" catback. :)

many people have mistaken mine for an 8, nice deep throaty growl, but i hate the look on their face when im like, nah, its a 6, then they're like, "oh, cool" lol not that they necessary make a face, but im sure you know what im talkin about......atleast my car looks clean, the word used by others for my car when i see it is "slick", alot of people have told me that its a slick lookin camaro

I made mine with a 3" U bend pipe from summit performance.

I took the U pipe, cut it in half, and then flipped one end over and welded the pieces back together to make an S.

Man I get that question all the time about my exhaust too. I love it. I've got pacesetters, flowmaster 40 series muffler welded right to the end of the y-pipe and dual 2.5in pipes coming out in front of the rear tires.

That's exactly what I want: for my camaro to sound like an 8. I was wondering how much all this cost and where you got it from so I can get started?
