  • Slp Loudmouth Question

    Hey everyone,

I have an SLP Loudmouth cat back with a quad tip exhaust kit package. I am interested in adding another muffler or 2 mini-mufflers to quiet down the sound. I am sick of getting complaints from my neighbors. haha. Does anyone know what would fit? Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Re: Slp Loudmouth Question

people add in the Borla xr1 muffler where the resonator is on the loudmouth, commonly know as the "Borlamouth"

this is true but anything with borla's name on it aint cheap. maybe try a dynomax bullet, there cheap and pretty effective.

edit: the borla will also give you less clearance

Will this quiet it down substantially?

borla will do ALOT more than a bullet will. maybe a magnaflow, it'll be cheaper than a borla, but bullet are still the cheapest of them all.

            Re: Slp Loudmouth Question

the bullet will smooth it out and will mildly tone it down. it will still sound like a loud mouth(this is actually the same setup as the tsp rumbler)

the borla will make a more noticable difference, and most likely sound the best. but it is about $130-140ish and will yeild less clearance(something to think about if its lowered or you plan on it).

                Re: Slp Loudmouth Question

im aware, but compared to a dynomax bullet like what was mention, the borla will sound better, and wont be as loud.

                      Re: Slp Loudmouth Question

alright, right now your loudmouth has a resonator. its just a hollow tube, theres nothing in it all at.

                      magnaflow - http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3.../magnaflow.jpg

yeah they dont look like much but they do alot.

                      borla - http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...z-er/borla.jpg

                      bullet - http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...-er/bullet.jpg

that might help you decide, yes borla's are VERY expensive, but will wound the best.
